Looking for some fun things to do this Summer? Here in Wilsonville it is not hard to find something to do! Do you like to listen to live music and not having to go downtown? Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts kick off next Thursday, July 24!
Wilsonville Rotary Summer Concerts are held every year at Town Center Park and has become the place to be on Thursday nights! (Other than the Wilsonville Farmers Market of course!) If you plan on coming, go to the Farmers Market early for dinner and/or snacks and head to see grab a seat and hear Naomi Laviolette open! She will be beginning her set around 5:30PM.
Naomi LaViolette is a beautiful singer song-writer and pianist who has played a several events here in Wilsonville and Portland, such as: Wilsonville Farmers Market, The Old Church Mcmenamins, Jazz Festival, Jimmy Mak’s, Doug Fir and more! If you have yet to hear her play live, you are in for a treat! She has a nice laid back retro style meets groovy, cool pop and coaxes you into relaxation with her soothing melodies and piano playing skills. She has been said to have the bluesy style of Norah Jones, the pop of Colbie Caillat and the vintage feel of Carole King. You won’t regret it!
Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts start at 6:30PM. This will be their 10th year in a row kicking off the concert series and they have a huge following! They play a classic rock style of music and encourage people to dance, so bring your dancing shoes! The nine member band includes a horn section and bring classic sounds from the past from legendary artists’ such as: Beach Boys, The Supremes, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and more! In addition to the great music, they are known for coming in colorful costumes and bringing lots of energy to the stage with their dancing, which always a crown pleaser and fun for all ages!
And best part of all, it’s free! So come come next Thursday and invite a friend to soak up the sunshine and listen to live music in this lovely town of ours! It’s all about creating community!
