It’s almost time for the Wilsonville Farmers Market season to begin! Mark your calenders for opening day, Thursday, June 12th!!
It’s that time again! Can you smell the fresh produce in the air? Or hear the live music from the park? Well, there is no music or delicious smells yet, but it’s all coming very soon!
Wilsonville Farmers Market happens every Thursday starting in June and goes until September from 4-8PM. There you will find your favorite vendors that WOW’ed us all last year, such as: The amazing sea salt and honey peanut butter guys, Bliss Nut Butter, the fresh-out-of- the-stone-oven personal pizza’s from Big O’s, and Simington Gardens with it’s fresh fruits and veggies!
There are also some new vendors and one in particular that everyone is sure to be excited about, I think you may have heard of them… Koi Fusion!!! Those of you who don’t know who Koi Fusion is, they have stationary and mobile locations, the one most known in this area is in Bridgeport Village. They specialize in serving a fun twist on Korean BBQ and Mexican dishes with fresh veggies and deliciously marinated meats.
The goal that Market Directors Chris and Liz Perry have is to not only have a good time with friends and family, but to also go “grocery shopping” in your own backyard. At the market you will find vendors that have most of the items that would be on a normal everyday shopping list, such as: eggs, bread, fruit, vegetables, etc. And of course, it’s a great excuse to stay hang out before you shop and grab something to eat from one of the food carts, listen to live music and enjoy the sunshine!
So come grab some hummus from the Hummus Stop and pair it with some fresh organic veggies, cool down with some gelato from Alotto Gelato, and don’t leave without tasting, (and eventually buying), Romero’s salsa with Juanitas chips!
It’s all about creating community and just another reason to live in Wilsonville!
So much fun to be had and good company to enjoy this summer at the Farmers Market!
Hope to see you there!
